Warranty Info

All ILLUMINARIUM products are backed by 1 year limited warranty.

Conditions:

 

Types of claims:

- Physical damage

- Functional manufacturer defect

 

Qualifying For Claims:

 

  - All physical damage claims need to be made during the first 24 hrs upon receipt of product and distributor to be contacted within this time frame. The following will be needed for the claim:

 

  • photos, videos of the damage to be provided as proof
  • proof of purchase (receipts, dates, item description etc)

 

  - All functional claims will require that the unit be accessed on a case by case basis and will depend on distributor discretion. The following will be needed for the claim:

 

  • photos, videos of malfunction to be provided as proof
  • proof of purchase (receipts, dates, item description, etc)


Processing Approved Claims:

 

If claim shows to be valid (upon examining proof for claim), the claim will then be processed for manufacturer examination and tests. Customer shall ship the faulty unit to distributor. Shipping shall be paid by customer. Shipping insurance is recommended. Manufacturer/distributor will not be responsible for physical damage or loss incurred during the time which the unit is in transit.

 

 Upon manufacturer's examination and tests:

 

- if unit is found to be malfunctioning because of a manufacturing defect, faulty unit shall either be repaired or replaced by manufacturer. Manufacturer shall bear all repair and shipping costs for unit to be repaired and shipped back to customer.

 

- if unit is found to be malfunctioning because of neglect on the part of customer (eg. let salt creep build up around air vents and fan vents, causing unit to heat up and eventually causing leds to fail or foreign objects found inside the unit), there will be no action taken by manufacturer. Customer shall bear shipping costs for unit to be shipped back to customer.

 

- if unit is found to be malfunctioning because it has been tempered with or not used as intended, there will be no action taken by manufacturer and warranty will be void. Tempering involves any modification performed on the unit, components taken apart and being put back together, parts swapped out with non-factory stock parts, rewiring of electrical circuits, etc.  Customer shall bear shipping costs for unit to be shipped back to customer.
 

- if unit is not found to be malfunctioning, there will be no action taken by manufacturer. Customer shall bear shipping costs for unit to be shipped back to customer.


Disclaimer:

 

- Upon validating a warranty claim, manufacturer shall employ professional discretion and judgment from test results and reserves the right to validate or invalidate a warranty claim.

 

- Light parameters (color temperature, lumens, lux, par, etc) are expected to vary slightly between units and such variations do not qualify for a warranty claim.

 

- Wear and tear do not qualify for a warranty claim.

 

- Slight modifications to form factor, shape and dimensions will happen from time to time and do not quality for a warranty claim.

 

- Most led manufacturers claim leds to last 50,000 hours. While that may be true, it should not be implied that the entire unit should last 50,000 hrs as there are other components involved in order for the unit to work properly. Failure of such components can be expected from time to time.

 

- In the case of a faulty unit, ILLUMINARIUM, LLC will not be responsible for damages incurred outside or beyond the scope of the faulty unit. All potential compensation is limited only to the faulty unit while warranty is still valid.

 

- ILLUMINARIUM, LLC cannot be held responsible for loss of any livestock or damage to personal property resulting from incorrect use of any lighting fixture offered.

 

- Upon discretion of manufacturer, warranty policy is subject to change.

 

Instructional Notes:

 

Due diligence on the part of the consumer is expected for keeping the unit running in a safe, efficient and intended way in order that the longevity of the unit be maintained. This includes but not limited to:

 

- making sure that unit is running in a safe environment (no water leaking around or on the unit).

 

- making sure that unit is plugged into a circuit that can handle the power draw and properly grounded.

 

- keeping air and fan vents clear of dust and debris.

 

- keeping foreign objects from falling into or resting on the unit.

 

- Recommended photo period on any lighting fixture offered is 8 hours or less.

 

- In the case of a valid warranty claim where repair or replacement is not possible, a full refund will be reimbursed to the customer. This is in the case when the replacement unit is no longer in production and/or unable to be acquired by distributor.

 

- Upon making a warranty claim, customer is advised to keep notes of claim, retain receipts of purchase, shipping, etc to avoid delays for the claim. A proof of purchase is a MUST for any claim to be processed.
